Job Description

The Role - A Day in the Life of a Trainee Administration Assistant

As a Trainee Administration Assistant, you will provide administrative and reception support to the Workforce Australia Services team while obtaining your Certificate III in Business Administration. We’re looking for someone who is keen to learn and has outstanding customer-service skills, impeccable time management, good attention to detail and the ability to juggle a busy workload. Ideally you will be confident navigating various computer-based programs and using the Microsoft office suite.

 

Your Key Responsibilities will include;

  • Maintain quality customer service at reception in line with ETC’s standards
  • Ensure phone calls are answered promptly and messages relayed to relevant parties in a professional and timely manner
  • Maintain and adhere to privacy and confidentiality principles in line with ETC standards and policies
  • Data entry of client information into ESS and Job Ready Live following initial appointments, group sessions and candidate board referral processes as provided by Employment Services Team

Desired Skills and Experience

Criteria for Success

  • Be able to commit to a 12-month Traineeship to study a Certificate in Business
  • A high level of computer literacy (including Microsoft Office, Excel, internet and email)
  • Good communication skills and the ability to handle customer enquiries effectively
  • A recent, clear National Police Check
  • A current Working With Children Check / QLD Blue Card
